Tehran, Iran – The Iranian president asserted that his country cannot attract domestic and foreign investment while various economic and administrative sectors remain stagnant. He emphasized that revitalizing the economy requires removing existing obstacles and creating a more attractive environment for capital. The president stated that the continuation of the current situation limits the country’s ability to capitalize on its considerable economic potential. He further explained that attracting investment is not solely dependent on providing resources. It also necessitates a stable economic climate, clear policies, and reforms that will bolster investor confidence.
He noted that the government is striving to overcome the recession and boost production. This comes at a time when Iran faces complex economic challenges, including financing difficulties and a decline in some investments. External pressures have also impacted economic activity and trade. The Iranian president emphasized the importance of activating the role of the private sector and opening the door to new investments. These investments are a key driver for increasing production, creating jobs, and achieving sustainable economic growth. These statements come as the Iranian government intensifies its efforts to find solutions to address economic challenges and improve the business climate. Simultaneously, there are growing calls for more effective reforms to break the current stagnation and restore confidence in the markets and among investors.
