Cairo, Egypt – The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club announced the termination of its contract with Danish Jes Torop, the technical director of the first football team, and his assistant staff, by mutual consent between the two parties. This came within the framework of the changes the club is witnessing in preparation for the next stage.
Al Ahly announced in an official statement that the contractual relationship with Torop and his coaching staff has been terminated following a meeting between Yassin Mansour, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, a board member, with the Danish coach and his agent, Firas Ali. Abdullah Shehata, the legal advisor for the football sector, also attended the meeting.
The club explained that Torop signed a financial settlement after all his dues were paid according to the terms of the contract between the two parties. The contract was set to expire on June 30th.
Al Ahly thanked the Danish coach and his staff for their efforts during their time leading the team and wished them success in their future endeavors.
In turn, Torop and his coaching staff expressed their appreciation to Al Ahly’s management, fans, and players. They also praised the support and cooperation they received throughout their time at the club.
The Danish coach took over Al Ahly last October, succeeding Emad El Nahhas, who had temporarily led the team following the departure of Spaniard José Ribeiro. His tenure with the Red Devils then officially ended by mutual consent.
