Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sharjah FC continues its preparations for the new season, when it meets Slovenian side Peltinci on Wednesday evening, in its third friendly match during its current overseas training camp in Slovenia, which runs until July 30.
The match will kick off at 7:30 pm UAE time, as part of the technical program set by the coaching staff to bring the players to the highest level of readiness before the start of the new season’s competitions.
The coaching staff is expected to rotate a large number of players during the match, in order to assess their technical and physical levels, as well as to settle on the core group that will compete in the upcoming official matches.
Sharjah began its friendly matches with a 2-1 loss to Serbian side Bačka Topola, before regaining its balance with a 2-0 victory over Saudi side Abha in the second match.
The match presents a new opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the deals and the players who have recently joined the team, most notably the Togolese striker Laba Kodjo, who came from Al Ain, in addition to continuing to improve harmony among the players before the start of the season.
