Dubai, UAE – The draw for the new 2026-2027 season of the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA League) has placed defending champions Dubai Basketball Club in Group Two. Dubai Basketball is playing its third season in the tournament, after winning the title last season during its second participation. After a distinguished career during which he won his first title in the competition.
The season’s competitions will start on September 26, with a two-stage league system, home and away. Each team will play 18 matches in the first round.
The top four finishers from each group qualify for the “Top 8” stage, while the rest of the teams move to the relegation avoidance stage. The results of the first round are calculated in the second stage, during which the teams face their competitors back and forth.
The top six finishers in the “Top 8” stage qualify directly to the knockout rounds. While the teams ranked seventh and eighth compete. Along with the top two teams from the relegation-avoidance stage, in the Play-N play-off to secure the last two tickets to the playoffs.
The quarter-final matches will be held in a best-of-three format. Before the tournament concludes, the semi-finals and final will be held in a “Final Four” system during the period from May 28 to 30, 2027. The host city for the finals will be announced later.
