Cairo, Egypt – Artist Khaled El Nabawy is continuing his intensive preparations for the start of filming his new series, Taher El Masry, which represents his return to television drama after a period of absence from the Ramadan season. Filming is scheduled to begin in the coming days, following the postponement of the work and its withdrawal from the Ramadan 2026 drama race.
A social drama with a suspenseful twist
- The series by Taher Al-Masri belongs to the category of suspenseful social works that rely on psychological conflict and continuous dramatic escalation, in a framework different from traditional works, while presenting a number of contemporary issues with a modern dramatic vision.
Khaled El Nabawy is relying on this work as one of his most prominent dramatic milestones in the coming period, especially given the nature of the character and the events that hold many surprises and dramatic tension.

The series is written by Amin Jamal, directed by Ahmed Khaled, and produced by Maha Selim for producer Tamer Mortada.
The artist Nour Ehab is participating in the work, where she embodies the character of a basketball player within the events, in a different role that carries new details compared to her previous works.
Khaled El Nabawy’s latest work in drama
Taher El Masry’s work marks a strong return for Khaled El Nabawy to the drama competition, after his last Ramadan appearance in the series “Empire of M” in Ramadan 2024, which also starred Hala Shiha, Nour El Nabawy, Nashwa Mustafa, and Hagar El Serag, and discussed the generational conflict within the Egyptian family in a social and familial context.
