Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation during a phone call.

They also discussed regional developments and the latest developments in Lebanon.

Confirmation of enhanced bilateral cooperation

The call addressed the fraternal relations between the UAE and Lebanon,

and the two sides’ commitment to further developing cooperation and joint action.

This aims to achieve the interests of both countries and bring prosperity and growth to their peoples.

The UAE President and the Lebanese President emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations across various fields.

This supports the path of cooperation and serves common interests.

Discussing the latest developments in Lebanese affairs

The call addressed the latest developments in Lebanon and the efforts underway to consolidate its security,

stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, amidst the challenges facing the country.

For his part, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude to the UAE

for its supportive stances towards Lebanon and its people. He also wished the UAE continued progress and prosperity.

Middle East developments

The two sides also reviewed a number of regional issues and files of common interest.

Foremost among these are the developments taking place in the Middle East.

The UAE President and the Lebanese President stressed the importance of continuing efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability.

They also supported the peace process in the region, in a way that achieves

the interests of its peoples and contributes to promoting development and prosperity.
