Abu Dhabi, UAE – The seventh edition of the World Junior Mixed Martial Arts Championship kicked off in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Organized by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation and hosted by the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation for the fifth consecutive year. The Mubadala Arena at Zayed Sports City will continue until August 23, 2026, with the participation of male and female players from 55 countries.
The event is held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The tournament will be held in three age groups. It includes the junior category (C) from 12 to 13 years old, the junior category (B) from 14 to 15 years old, and the junior category (A) from 16 to 17 years old. Reflecting the starring role in preparing promising talents within a gradual competitive path that takes into account age characteristics. It gives male and female players the opportunity to gain international experience in a safe and professional sports environment.
Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the tournament for the fifth year in a row confirms the confidence that the UAE enjoys in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation and the participating national federations.
