Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank announced record pre-tax profits of AED 7.607 billion in the first half of 2026, an increase of 28% compared to the same period last year. The bank achieved record pre-tax profits of AED 3.826 billion in the second quarter of 2026. An increase of 26% compared to the same period last year. Continuing its growth for the 20th consecutive quarter.
The bank confirmed continued strong performance, supported by significant growth in its loan portfolio, high asset quality, and high interest-free income. In light of the UAE’s stimulating operational environment, which is characterized by flexibility and great ability to adapt and continue growth.
Qualitative growth in non-interest income
The bank’s financial and operational results showed a qualitative growth in non-interest income in the second quarter of 2026 by 12% compared to the same period last year. Supported by increased fee and trading income, it has contributed to enhancing the diversity of revenue sources.
The bank also recorded exceptional growth on the balance sheet. Net customer loans increased by 42 billion dirhams and by 10% during the first half of the year. While it continued to attract traders’ deposits at a regular pace, recording a growth of 5% and an amount of 27 billion dirhams since the beginning of the year.
Increased net profits
Income statement indicators for the first half of 2026 showed an increase in net profits to reach 6.737 billion dirhams after deducting tax. The return on average shareholders’ equity after tax rose to 16.2%. An improvement of 210 basis points compared to the same period last year.
In turn, balance sheet indicators showed that total assets rose to AED 833 billion, a growth of 16% compared to the same period last year. And 8% since the beginning of 2026, and net customer loans increased to 445 billion dirhams. An increase of 18% compared to the same period last year and 10% since the beginning of the year. Traders’ deposits increased to 527 billion dirhams, a growth of 14% compared to the same period last year and 5% since the beginning of the year.
