Cairo, Egypt – The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud El-Khatib, announced a package of administrative and technical decisions as part of a plan to restructure the football sector in preparation for the new season.
The decisions came hours after the club announced the end of the career of Danish Yes Torop as head of the technical leadership of the first team, in addition to thanking Adel Mustafa, the general coach, and Walid Salah El Din, director of football.
Al Ahly’s management decided to appoint Wael Gomaa as the first team’s football director, succeeding Walid Salah El-Din, and also thanked Walid Soliman after the end of his mission as head of the youth sector.
The new structure included a number of positions within the football sector, academies and women’s football, with Mohamed Youssef being appointed as head of the youth sector, and Essam Serag El-Din as head of the contracts sector.
Al-Ahly also decided to appoint Shadi Mohamed as director of the women’s football department, and Ahmed Ramadan as the team’s technical director, while Abdel Moneim Shatta took over the task of supervising the club’s academies.
Regarding the Delphi team, Al-Ahly assigned the task of supervising the team to Hisham Hanafi, while Samer Abdel Rahman was appointed as technical director.
These changes are part of a comprehensive plan to restructure the club’s football sector, in preparation for the upcoming season on both the administrative and technical levels.
