Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Emirates Wrestling Federation has approved the plan for the new sports season 2026–2027. Which includes expanding the scope of tournaments, programs and activities, and providing more diverse opportunities for male and female players to participate. To ensure that different groups have the opportunity to participate and develop, and to enhance the basis for practicing wrestling in the UAE.
This came during a meeting of the Federation’s Board of Directors, chaired by His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. In the presence of Council members.
The Board of Directors confirmed that the coming period will witness the implementation of many new axes. First and foremost, developing the services and programmes provided to beneficiaries of the Union’s system. Including clubs, technical staff, male and female players, community members, and educational institutions. This is achieved by enhancing cooperation with partners and adopting initiatives that contribute to raising the quality of technical, community, and development programs.
The meeting discussed the Union’s programmes and activities over the summer, which will extend over three months. It includes a range of activities and programmes targeting continuity of training and talent development. Enhancing the participation of various groups, in addition to supporting the spread of wrestling and consolidating its presence in society.
