  • Criticism of Israeli intransigence
  • Warning of consequences

Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that the path of negotiation represents the fastest and least costly way for Lebanon to address its current challenges.

He emphasized the importance of adopting political and diplomatic solutions to spare the country further burdens and losses.

Criticism of Israeli intransigence

Salam stated that the negotiations were marked by intransigence on the Israeli side,

which complicated efforts to reach understandings that would contribute to stabilizing the situation and containing existing tensions.

He noted that the Lebanese government continues to work to protect national interests

and defend Lebanon’s rights through political and diplomatic means.

This ensures the preservation of the country’s security and stability.

The Lebanese Prime Minister stressed that all Lebanese parties must prioritize Lebanon’s interests above all other considerations.

He also emphasized that the current phase requires a high degree of national responsibility and cooperation among the various political forces.

Warning of consequences

He added that the challenges facing the country necessitate unifying efforts and avoiding

any positions or policies that could deepen the crises or harm the public interest.

Salam warned that any party refusing to prioritize Lebanon’s interests will bear the consequences of this stance alone.

He emphasized that maintaining national stability requires a collective commitment to responsibility and working for the country’s future.

The Lebanese Prime Minister reiterated his call to support the negotiation process and political solutions,

considering them the most effective option to avoid escalation and achieve stability in Lebanon in the coming period.
