London, England – Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool and Egypt national team player, addressed a heartfelt message to the Reds’ fans. This came after he played his final match for the team, bringing to a close a historic nine-year career at Anfield.
Liverpool’s match against Brentford in the final round of the Premier League saw an exceptional farewell for Mohamed Salah. This took place amidst a huge reaction from the team’s fans, who were keen to pay tribute to their captain and one of the club’s greatest legends.
Salah posted a picture of himself inside Anfield Stadium, greeting Liverpool fans, on his official X account, commenting: “The longest night of my life.. Thank you for everything again.”
The number 11 ended his journey with Liverpool after achieving numerous milestones and setting many records. These achievements made him one of the most prominent players in the English club’s history. He also contributed to winning several domestic and continental titles, the last of which was the Premier League title in the 2024-2025 season.
Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Italian club Roma in a deal worth around €50 million. He has since become one of the team’s most important players over the years.
The Egyptian international has yet to decide on his next destination, with his name linked to a move to the Saudi or American leagues. Several European clubs have also expressed interest in acquiring his services.
