Ramy Abbas, the agent of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, has sparked speculation about the Egyptian national team captain’s next destination. This comes after he revealed the latest developments regarding Salah’s future following the end of his time with Liverpool.
Abbas explained via his official X account that the final decision regarding the club Salah will represent next season has not yet been made. However, he indicated that an announcement about his next destination may be imminent.
The player’s agent wrote: “We can still say that we don’t yet know where Mohamed will play next season, but we may find out very soon”.
Abbas’s comments come at a time of increasing speculation about which club Salah will join. He has been linked with several European clubs, most notably those in the Turkish league.
Turkish media reports in recent days revealed that Besiktas had entered into negotiations with the player’s agent. This coincided with Ramy Abbas’s visit to Istanbul, further fueling speculation about the Egyptian national team captain’s potential move to the Turkish league.
Reports also indicate that Salah is open to the idea of joining Besiktas. However, financial demands remain the biggest obstacle to completing the deal.
Meanwhile, the player’s name remains on the radar of other Turkish clubs, most notably Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. His future is awaiting official confirmation after his participation with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
