Madrid, Spain – There was a sense of relief within the Spanish national team camp despite Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro only participating in individual training sessions, just days before the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup final against Argentina. The Spanish coaching staff explained that the separate training program is part of a plan to reduce physical strain and maintain the players’ fitness. They also confirmed that their absence from group training does not indicate any serious injuries that could jeopardize their participation in the final.
Lamine Yamal continues his recovery from physical fatigue following his intense participation in the semi-final, while Pedro Porro is undergoing a light rehabilitation program after experiencing muscle strain, closely monitored by the medical staff.
The rest of the Spanish national team participated in training normally. Meanwhile, the coaching staff, led by Luis de la Fuente, focused on tactical and technical aspects in preparation for the final. Confidence is also growing that the duo will be fit for the highly anticipated match.
The Spanish team hopes to have all its key players back before the final. They also aim to win the World Cup title and add another achievement to their footballing record.
