London, England – Liverpool have begun their search for an attacking replacement following the departure of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. Bournemouth winger Ryan has been identified as a top target to bolster the squad during the summer transfer window.
According to TeamTalk, Liverpool’s management has opened communication channels to inquire about the possibility of signing the Brazilian player. This comes as part of the club’s plan to rebuild its attacking line in preparation for the new season.
The report explained that the Reds’ management discussed the matter with Spanish coach Andoni Iraola. Several attacking options are also being evaluated before a final decision is made regarding the deal.
Liverpool had made Ivorian Yann Diomande their top priority, but the player expressed his desire to move to Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, his club, RB Leipzig, is holding firm on receiving a substantial transfer fee to agree to his departure.
Should negotiations falter, Liverpool have a list of alternatives including Brighton’s Yankuba Minté and Cologne’s Saeed Al Mulla. The list also includes Lille’s Matías Fernandez Pardo and Everton’s Imane Ndiaye.
The report indicated that Liverpool’s interest in Bryan is not new, as the club has been monitoring the player since his impressive performances with Vasco da Gama. This was before his move to Bournemouth last January.
The Brazilian winger delivered impressive performances in the second half of the season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 13 Premier League starts. This significantly boosted his chances of a move to one of the Premier League’s top clubs.
