UAE in Group A of AFC U-17 Women’s Championship qualifiers

30 teams participate in the qualifiers, the highest number in the history of the tournament

UAE in Group A of AFC U-17 Women's Championship qualifiers

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The draw for the 2027 AFC U-17 Women’s Football Cup qualifiers resulted. Which was held at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, about the UAE national team being placed in Group One. In addition to the host teams of Tajikistan, the Republic of Korea, and Jordan.

30 teams are participating in the qualifiers, the highest number in the history of the tournament, with an increase of two teams. Compared to the previous record of 28 teams in the 2019 qualifiers.

8 groups are competing for the title

The teams were distributed into 8 groups, 6 groups containing four teams, and 2 groups containing three teams. The competitions of each group will be held in a combined league system during the period from October 5 to 11.

The first-place finishers in the eight groups qualify for the finals, joining the four directly qualified teams. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is the defending champion, and Japan is runner-up in the last edition. Australia and China reached the semi-finals in the 2026 edition.

The second group included the teams of Indonesia, host Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. While China, Taipei, Iran, host Laos, and Cambodia came in the third group.

Group 4 included the host teams Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Palestine. While the fifth group included India, host Malaysia, Syria, and Iraq.

Host Thailand, Lebanon, Macau and Bhutan came in Group F. The seventh group included host Myanmar, Hong Kong, and Guam. While Group 8 includes the Philippines, Bangladesh, and host Uzbekistan.
