Amman, Jordan – Jordan condemned the repeated Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait,
describing them as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of both countries and a direct threat to their security and stability.
It also affirmed its rejection of any actions that undermine the security of states or jeopardize the stability of the region.
Official condemnation of the attacks
The Jordanian government affirmed that the Iranian attacks constitute a clear violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
They also represent an escalation that threatens regional security and undermines efforts to maintain stability in the region.
Jordan emphasized its full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait in confronting any threat targeting their sovereignty or national security.
Call to halt escalation
Jordan called for a halt to all actions that could escalate tensions in the region.
It stressed the importance of resorting to dialogue and diplomatic means to resolve disputes and prevent further escalation.
It also emphasized the need to respect the sovereignty of states and refrain from interfering in their internal affairs, in order to preserve regional peace and security.
Affirming support for Gulf security
Jordan reiterated its support for the security and stability of the Gulf states, emphasizing that the security of Bahrain and Kuwait is an integral part of the region’s security. It noted that any attack on them constitutes a threat to regional stability and called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities in protecting regional security and respecting the principles of international law.
