Kuwait – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Iranian aggression, affirming that it constitutes a grave violation of international law and the UN Charter.
Furthermore, this aggression violates the sovereignty of states and threatens the security and stability of the region.
Official condemnation of the attack
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement that Kuwait rejects attacks
that infringe upon the sovereignty of states or jeopardize their security.
It also stressed the necessity of respecting the rules of international law
and adhering to the provisions of the UN Charter in resolving disputes.
The statement added that such actions would only exacerbate tensions
and undermine efforts to consolidate regional security and stability.
A call for restraint
Kuwait called on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid any steps that could escalate the situation.
In the same vein, it emphasized the importance of prioritizing dialogue
and diplomatic means to resolve crises and maintain regional security.
It also stressed the need to protect maritime security and regional stability.
This, it asserted, would serve the interests of the region’s peoples and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
Emphasis on respect for international law
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the importance of
respecting the sovereignty of states and adhering to the UN Charter and international law.
It also noted that commitment to these principles is fundamental to maintaining regional
and international peace and security, particularly in light of the rapidly evolving situation in the region.
