Ankara, Turkey – Turkish media reports have revealed new developments in Besiktas’ negotiations with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. The club’s management is seeking to sign him during the current summer transfer window, following the end of his time with Liverpool.
According to Kartal Record, a website close to Besiktas, the Turkish club has made an official offer to the Egyptian national team captain for a one-year contract. The offer includes an option to extend for an additional season if he meets a certain number of appearances.
The report added that the offer grants Mohamed Salah an annual salary of up to €12 million. Furthermore, the contract includes a clause allowing for automatic extension for a second season if the player reaches a certain number of appearances.
The website noted that image rights have not yet been finalized. The two parties intend to reach a separate agreement regarding these rights, in addition to discussing a revenue-sharing mechanism related to player jersey sales should the deal be completed.
