Cairo, Egypt – Colonel Mohamed Yehia Gad, a police officer and secretary at the Egyptian Presidency, passed away suddenly on Saturday, according to his family. His death has been met with grief among his colleagues and friends. The family announced that the funeral prayer will be held after the noon prayer at the Toshiba Al-Arabi Mosque in the Salah Salem district of Cairo, before his burial.
Several of the late colonel’s colleagues mourned his passing, expressing their sorrow and praising his professional career and his excellent rapport with his colleagues throughout his years of service. Local reports indicated that his death was sudden and occurred while he was sleeping, though no official statement has yet been released specifying a medical cause.
