Ramallah, Palestine – Several Palestinians, including children, suffered from tear gas inhalation on Saturday morning during an Israeli raid on the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank. Local sources reported that settlers attacked the Shaab al-Lawz neighborhood in the northwest of the village and attempted to break into several homes. Israeli forces then stormed the area and fired tear gas canisters at residents, causing several cases of suffocation.
The village was gripped by tension during the raid. Residents were forced to take shelter in their homes as tear gas continued to be fired in the surrounding area. This escalation comes amid ongoing Israeli incursions into villages and towns northeast of Ramallah. It also coincides with settler attacks on Palestinians and their property, further exacerbating tensions in the West Bank. Various areas of the West Bank are witnessing an increase in raids, incursions, and attacks. Consequently, there are Palestinian concerns about the continued escalation and its repercussions on the civilian population, particularly in areas near settlements and outposts.
