Dubai, UAE – The liquidity of local financial markets exceeded 8.98 billion dirhams during last week’s trading. Distributed at 3.11 billion dirhams in the Dubai Financial Market. And 5.87 billion dirhams in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market. This comes after 2.55 billion shares were traded through 180,696 transactions.
The market capitalization of the shares listed on the two markets amounted to approximately 3.9 trillion dirhams. Distributed at AED 981.69 billion for Dubai Financial Market shares. And AED 2.92 trillion for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
The Dubai Financial Market index closed at 5885.64 points. While the Abu Dhabi Securities Market index closed at 10,047.21 points.
Real estate sector shares in the Dubai Financial Market accounted for 36.16% of the total trading value in the market. Equivalent to AED 1.12 billion, led by Emaar Properties shares, which accounted for AED 904.97 million in trading.
Trading in banking sector shares amounted to 501.28 million dirhams, followed by industrial sector shares. Trading in shares of listed companies amounted to approximately 418.89 million dirhams.
During the week’s trading, citizen investors in the Dubai Financial Market turned to buying, with a net investment of about 253.69 million dirhams. After recording purchases worth 1.38 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 1.13 billion dirhams.
The Dubai Financial Market witnessed the implementation of 28 large direct deals on shares of four companies. With a total value of 590.61 million dirhams.
Citizen investors in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market also turned to buying, with a net investment of approximately AED 271.53 million. After recording purchases worth 3.27 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 2.99 billion dirhams.
During last week’s trading, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market witnessed the implementation of three large direct deals on 92.39 million shares of three companies. They are “Homes”, “Abu Dhabi Ports” and “Food Group”, with a value exceeding AED 70.64 million.
