  • Human losses and fears of a worsening regional situation

Baghdad, Iraq – Ahmad Hossein Panahi, a member of the central committee of the Iranian Kurdish party Komala, reported that his party’s headquarters in the Alana Valley was subjected to a new military attack by Iranian forces. This comes amid an ongoing escalation. Tehran is targeting the headquarters of Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in Iraqi Kurdistan.

In statements documenting the attack, Panahi explained that the latest assault occurred precisely at 1:30 PM. Iranian missile strikes directly targeted the party’s headquarters in the Alana Valley. The party official confirmed that, as of yet, there have been no official reports of casualties or significant material damage resulting from the bombing. He indicated that this attack is part of a continuous series of violent military attacks carried out by Iran. Moreover, in these attacks, Iran uses ballistic missiles and drones against the camps and headquarters of the Rojhelat parties in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The toll of the attacks and the scale of the military escalation

Panahi revealed alarming statistics based on official Komala Party data. He asserted that the total number of Iranian attacks since the outbreak of direct military confrontations between Iran and the United States has exceeded 102 missiles and drones. These attacks targeted the party’s camps and positions exclusively.

Human losses and fears of a worsening regional situation

According to the same sources, the wave of successive Iranian attacks on the Kurdistan Region has resulted in the deaths of more than 30 people so far. There are growing concerns about a worsening humanitarian and security situation. The victims include both unarmed civilians and members of the Peshmerga forces affiliated with Iranian Kurdish opposition parties. Thus, this reflects the expanding scope of regional threats and their bloody repercussions on local stability in the region.
