Astana, Kazakhstan – The United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan held the fourth session of their Joint Consular Committee in the Kazakh capital, Astana, to discuss ways to enhance consular cooperation and improve services provided to citizens of both countries.
This reflects the strength of bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the two sides.
The UAE delegation was headed by Rashid Nazar Rahma, while the Kazakh delegation was headed by Azamat Obkov.
Emphasis on the strength of bilateral relations
Rashid conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He affirmed that relations
between the UAE and Kazakhstan are witnessing remarkable development across various fields,
including investment, energy, transportation, technology, and cultural and educational cooperation.
He noted that the leadership of both countries is keen to expand the horizons of the strategic partnership.
This aims to achieve the interests of both peoples and support the path of sustainable development.
Developing digital consular services
The meeting included extensive discussions on streamlining travel procedures through smart gates.
The exchange of expertise and best practices in digital consular services was also discussed.
Furthermore, mechanisms for enhancing joint consular coordination and cooperation were explored.
The UAE side emphasized the importance of improving the quality of services provided to citizens of both countries.
These services must keep pace with modern technological advancements and enhance the efficiency of consular operations.
Kazakhstan praises joint cooperation
For his part, Azamat Obkov praised the depth of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE,
expressing his country’s pride in the significant development of relations between the two sides across various fields.
The Kazakh official affirmed his country’s commitment to expanding consular cooperation and developing joint working mechanisms.
This will contribute to improving services provided to citizens and meeting their future needs.
