Tehran, Iran – In a new development concerning the nuclear issue and ongoing communications between Tehran and several international parties, Iran asserted that its latest response to proposed initiatives was balanced and demonstrated a degree of political flexibility, emphasizing that it had only presented demands it deemed “reasonable and legitimate.”
Informed Iranian sources stated that the response not only commented on the international proposals but also included a package of alternative ideas described as “generous and realistic,” suggesting they could provide a suitable basis for resuming the stalled negotiations.
The sources explained that Tehran, through this proposal, seeks to open a new negotiating track based on the principle of reciprocity and the exchange of rights and obligations, moving away from policies of pressure or the imposition of preconditions. They emphasized that any progress on this issue hinges on respecting mutual interests and lifting the measures that Iran considers unilateral and unjust.
They added that Iran is not closing the door to diplomatic solutions, but at the same time, it adheres to what it describes as its “inalienable rights,” believing that regional stability will only be achieved through balanced understandings that take into account all parties without exception.
