Beirut, Lebanon – According to Sky News Arabia, informed sources revealed that Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani will pay an official visit to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Thursday.
During his visit, he will hold a series of meetings with senior Lebanese officials and a number of political and religious leaders.
The visit is intended to address bilateral relations and regional developments.
Meetings with the Lebanese Presidency
According to sources, the Syrian Foreign Minister will meet with the Lebanese President, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament.
They will discuss a number of issues of mutual interest, primarily bilateral relations
and political coordination. Security and economic matters will also be addressed.
The talks are expected to cover regional developments and their impact on Lebanon and Syria,

The sources reported that the Syrian Foreign Minister’s visit program
includes meetings with the heads of the three religious sects in Lebanon.
In addition to meetings with the former head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt,
and the head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea.
These meetings come within the framework of an expanded political tour
aimed at communicating with various Lebanese components.
