Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation of the “treacherous” attacks targeting the territories and waters of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait.

In its statement, the Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with its fellow Gulf states.

It also reiterated its support for all measures taken by these countries to protect their security and stability,

and emphasized the necessity of preserving the integrity of their territories and territorial waters.

Emphasis on the unity of the Gulf position

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is a single, interconnected system.

It affirmed that any threat to one of the GCC member states is a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

The Kingdom also reiterated its complete rejection of any attacks targeting

the sovereignty of the Gulf states or threatening the safety

of their people and resources.

The Ministry considered these attacks a dangerous escalation

that contravenes the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

It further affirmed that these actions undermine efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting regional stability.

Support for regional stability

It called for respect for the sovereignty of states and for refraining

from any actions that could threaten regional security or disrupt maritime navigation and vital interests in the region.

Saudi Arabia reiterated the importance of strengthening coordination

and cooperation among the Gulf states to address current security challenges.

It also emphasized the necessity of joint action to protect the region’s security and stability.

Furthermore, it stressed the need to prioritize political and diplomatic solutions to avoid further escalation,

noting that this would safeguard the security and stability of the region’s peoples.
