Abu Dhabi, UAE – The match between Al Bataeh and Sharjah ended in a goalless draw, in the game that brought them together this evening at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium, as part of the 25th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The first half saw a cautious performance from both teams, with Sharjah having a relative advantage in possession of the ball, but without any real danger to either goal, and the first half ended in a goalless draw.
In the second half, the pace of the match increased relatively with mutual attempts to snatch the opening goal, as Sharjah almost opened the scoring in the 75th minute through a shot by Harib Abdullah from inside the penalty area, but the Al Bataeh goalkeeper made a firm save.
Al Bataeh had the most dangerous chance of the match in the 80th minute, when substitute Alvaro de Oliveira rose to head a powerful ball, but goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani made a brilliant save.
The score remained unchanged until the final whistle, with each team earning a point. Al Bataeh raised its tally to 20 points in thirteenth place, while Sharjah reached 26 points in tenth place.
