Dubai, UAE – The liquidity of local financial markets exceeded 6.72 billion dirhams during last week’s trading. It was distributed at a rate of 2.2 billion dirhams on the Dubai Financial Market, and 4.52 billion dirhams on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market. This comes after 1.82 billion shares were traded, through 162,152 transactions.
The market value of the shares listed on the two markets amounted to approximately 3.83 trillion dirhams. It was distributed at a rate of 959.41 billion dirhams for shares of the Dubai Financial Market, and 2.873 trillion dirhams for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market.
The Dubai Financial Market index closed at 5,786.97 points. The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index closed at 9,828.41 points.
Real estate sector shares in the Dubai Financial Market accounted for 34.89% of the total trading value. Equivalent to AED 769.69 million, led by Emaar Properties shares. Which acquired trades worth 574.57 million dirhams.

On the other hand, the value of trading in banking sector shares amounted to 493.85 million dirhams. This was followed by industrial sector stocks, with trading amounting to AED 402.26 million.
During the week’s trading, citizen investors in the Dubai Financial Market turned to buying, with a net investment of about 84.2 million dirhams. After recording purchases worth 1.18 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 1.1 billion dirhams.
Foreign (non-Arab) investors in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market also turned to buying, with a net investment of approximately AED 83.8 million. After recording purchases worth 1.81 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 1.72 billion dirhams.
