Algiers, Algeria – Mouloudia Club of Algiers announced that it has reached an agreement with Algerian international Youcef Belaïli, paving the way for him to join the team during the current summer transfer window, pending the completion of some legal procedures before the deal is officially finalized.
The club explained that the negotiations, led by team manager Jamal Belamri, ended with an agreement with the player, in the presence of his father and his agent, after his continued stay with Esperance Tunis fell through.
Mouloudia Club of Algiers indicated that all the terms of the contract, especially the financial aspects, were agreed upon by both parties, but the contract will remain suspended until the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issues its decision regarding the penalty imposed on the player, in addition to him passing the medical examinations.
The club affirmed its commitment to completing the deal in accordance with the legal frameworks, stressing its commitment to contracting with Belaili, while respecting all procedures related to the case pending before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The CAS decision is expected to determine the future of the deal in the coming period, as its issuance will pave the way for activating the contract and officially announcing the player’s joining.
FIFA had decided to suspend Youcef Belaili for a year, following a legal dispute with his former French club Ajaccio.
