Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al Hilal Saudi Club has officially announced the signing of Dutchman Crescenzo Summerville, winger for West Ham United, to continue strengthening its ranks during the summer transfer window in preparation for the new season.
Al-Hilal posted a video on its official X platform announcing the deal, accompanied by the phrase: “The tenth in the Kingdom time.. All roads lead to Al-Hilal,” before welcoming the player with a message that read: “Some moments in football do not wait, they are written for those who are ready to seize them.. A new story begins today.. A new blue.. Welcome to Al-Hilal”.
Summerville signed a four-season contract after successfully passing medical tests in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, and will immediately join the team’s training camp currently being held in Austria, in preparation for the start of the season.
The deal came after a strong race to sign the player, as Italian club Roma entered into competition with Al-Hilal, and Manchester United and Aston Villa also expressed interest in signing the Dutch winger, before the Saudi club succeeded in finalizing the negotiations.
According to reports, the total value of the deal was around £65 million, with £55 million being a fixed value, along with £10 million in performance-related incentives and bonuses.
The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club also expressed its thanks to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, after he covered the full value of the contract with the player, in support of the club’s plans in the transfer market.
Summerville was under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2029, but the team’s relegation to the English Championship opened the door for his departure during the current transfer window.
The Dutch international joined West Ham in the summer of 2024 from Leeds United, and made 56 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists last season.
