Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Muslim World League strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a security checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan,

which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. It also expressed its full solidarity

with the Pakistani government and people in confronting terrorism.

The League rejects extremism and violence

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars,

Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, affirmed that these criminal

acts are contrary to the teachings of Islam and human values.

He also stressed the absolute rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism,

and violence, regardless of their motives or justifications.

Confronting terrorism and drying up its sources of funding

The Muslim World League expressed its deepest condolences to the families of

the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

It affirmed its support for Pakistan in all measures taken to protect its security

and stability and to combat terrorist organizations.

The League also called for enhanced international cooperation

to confront the threat of terrorism and cut off its funding sources.

Furthermore, it urged intensified joint efforts to eradicate extremist ideology,

thereby contributing to the consolidation of security and stability

and protecting societies from the dangers of violence and terrorism.
