Ankara, Türkiye – Serdal Adalı, president of Beşiktaş, revealed the latest developments regarding negotiations with Mohamed Salah, in order to sign him during the current summer transfer window.
Mohamed Salah left Liverpool at the end of last season, after a nine-year journey at Anfield, during which he achieved numerous titles and record-breaking individual accomplishments.
Adali told the Turkish website Ortacizgi: “As the public has been informed, we have been in discussions with the player and his agent for some time now, covering all the details of the transfer process”.
He added: “Finally, after a thorough discussion of the request we received, we presented our final official offer to the player’s representatives, and also informed them that we expect them to inform us of their decision soon”.
The Besiktas president concluded: “While our efforts in the transfer market continue at full speed, here is the latest update regarding Salah. Since the initial discussions, we have assessed all the required increases and adjustments within the framework of Besiktas’ interests, and we have submitted our final offer. Now the decision is in the player’s hands, and we have informed him that he needs to respond soon”.
Previous Turkish press reports indicated that Besiktas’s focus was entirely on completing the transfer of Mohamed Salah.
