Khartoum, Sudan – International reports have warned of a worsening humanitarian situation in Sudan due to sharp cuts in aid funding. This comes at a time when the number of displaced people is increasing and food and medicine shortages are worsening.

It is estimated that more than 30 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. The number of displaced people has exceeded 12 million. The UN has warned of the risk of famine and the spread of disease.

International organizations have called for urgent action to ensure aid reaches civilians and to open safe humanitarian corridors to protect them.
