Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Securities Market Group announced strong performance during the first half of 2026 on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market. Reflecting the continuous development of the market system in Abu Dhabi, supported by infrastructure upgrades and the introduction of new products. Strengthening connectivity between markets and launching initiatives that play an effective role in expanding investor participation across different asset classes and markets.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market attracted 30,000 new investors during the first half of 2026, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year. Foreign investors represented 77% of the total new investors registered during the period. Investors also achieved significant value during the first half of the year, with total dividends rising to AED 49.9 billion.

Process stability and efficiency

The group said that the Abu Dhabi Securities Market maintained its stability and continued its operations efficiently and regularly. It demonstrated a greater ability to deal with volatility compared to the conditions experienced in the region’s markets.

She explained that in light of the geopolitical challenges witnessed in the first half of 2026 at the regional level, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market entered this phase based on strong operational readiness.

This readiness was supported by major updates to the market infrastructure, including updating the core platform. Establishing Abu Dhabi Clearing and Abu Dhabi Depository as new subsidiaries, and integrating hybrid cloud computing capabilities.

investment flows

The total market value reached AED 2.8 trillion by the end of June 2026, supported by a trading value of AED 171 billion.  

The value of investment flows reached 1.4 billion dirhams, an annual increase of 13.7%. International investors maintained strong activity at 48% of the total trading value.

Investors also achieved significant value during the first half of the year, with total dividends rising to AED 49.9 billion. 

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange currently includes 24 exchange-traded funds. The total market value of these funds increased by 1.459% year-on-year to reach AED 24.3 billion during the first half of 2026.

Its trading value also increased by 166% to 203 million dirhams.
