Panama City, Panama – The UAE, on behalf of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Global Leaders Forum hosted
by the Panamanian capital, Panama City, on the occasion of the bicentenary of the Panama Amificion Conference of 1826.
This comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance international cooperation and consolidate bilateral and multilateral partnerships.
Meetings to strengthen bilateral relations
The UAE was represented at the forum by Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State,
and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade.
They held a series of meetings with several senior officials in the Republic of Panama,
including Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha, Environment Minister Juan Carlos Navarro, National Assembly President Jorge Herrera,
and Director General of the National Government Innovation Agency Adolfo Fabrega.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and explore expanding cooperation in sectors of mutual interest,
with the aim of bolstering the partnership between the two countries.
The importance of multilateral action
Noura Al Kaabi affirmed the UAE commitment to developing its relations with the Republic of Panama.
She noted that the two countries are celebrating 33 years of diplomatic relations this year.
These relations have witnessed continuous growth across various fields,
bolstered by numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding.
She added that the forum embodies the importance of multilateral action
in building a more secure and prosperous future.
She also emphasized the UAE commitment to supporting international dialogue
and strengthening cooperation among nations to address shared challenges.

Al Kaabi emphasized that the UAE believes international cooperation is the cornerstone of achieving peace, security, and prosperity.
also affirmed that unifying efforts among nations contributes to finding more effective solutions
to global challenges and enhances opportunities for development and stability.
The UAE’s participation in the forum is part of its policy aimed at expanding its diplomatic presence.
