According to several reports, Maresca is leaning towards relying on Egyptian international Omar Marmoush in the starting lineup against Arsenal, given the reduced chances of Norwegian Erling Haaland participating from the start of the match.
Marmoush is expected to occupy an attacking position alongside Antoine Simeone and Rayan Ait-Nouri, in an attempt by the coaching staff to give the team attacking strength against Arsenal.
In goal, Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma stands out as one of Maresca’s top choices, while Ruben Dias, Joshko Gvardiol, Abdulkadir Khusanov and Mateus Nunez will take over the back line.
The forecast also indicates that Rico Luis and Mateo Kovacic will feature in midfield, with Phil Foden ahead of them to support the attacking line.
