The 36th round of the English Premier League witnessed exciting and impactful results in the battle for the top spot and European places, as Manchester City continued their pursuit of the league leaders. Meanwhile, Liverpool moved closer to securing their Champions League berth despite their draw against Chelsea.

A 1-1 draw was the outcome of the match between Liverpool and Chelsea, bringing the Reds’ points tally to 59 and securing fourth place, thus strengthening their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Chelsea, meanwhile, reached 49 points, remaining in ninth place.

In another match, Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. United now have 65 points in third place, while Sunderland sit in twelfth with 48 points.

Bournemouth continued their impressive run with a 1-0 victory over Fulham, moving up to sixth place with 55 points and keeping their European qualification hopes alive. Fulham remain in eleventh place with 48 points.

Brighton also secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton, bringing their points tally to 53 and placing them seventh in the table. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton, already relegated, remain at the bottom with 18 points.
