  • Araghchi: Tehran will not compromise

Tehran, Iran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that indirect channels of communication between Iran and the United States are still ongoing, stressing that Tehran is open to the diplomatic path,

but will not accept any negotiation or understanding that affects its national security or sovereignty.

Exchanging messages does not mean making concessions

Araghchi stated that communication with Washington is taking place

through intermediaries and established diplomatic channels,

with the aim of managing disagreements and reducing tensions.

He emphasized that the continued exchange of messages does not imply

any concessions on Iran’s fundamental principles or issues related to national security.

The Iran Foreign Minister added that his country considers its security

and the security of strategic maritime routes,

particularly the Strait of Hormuz, to be integral parts of its national security.

Araghchi: Tehran will not compromise

Araghchi added that Tehran will not compromise on these issues,

regardless of the pressures or regional developments.

The Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that Iran still prefers political and diplomatic solutions,

but at the same time insists on its right to protect its interests and sovereignty,

calling on all parties to pursue dialogue based on mutual respect, away from policies of pressure and escalation.
