Amman, Jordan – Jordan and Qatar stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to reduce tensions in the region,
while emphasizing the need to implement the understandings reached between the United States and Iran,
in order to enhance stability and avoid any new confrontations that could threaten the security of the region.
Dialogue and diplomacy are the best way forward
This came during talks between Jordan and Qatari officials
that addressed the latest regional and international developments,
primarily those related to the Iranian issue and the security situation in the region,
as well as ways to support political and diplomatic efforts aimed at containing crises.
Both sides stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the best way to resolve differences,
emphasizing the need to adhere to existing understandings and work towards
their implementation in order to reduce tensions and enhance regional security and stability.
Continued coordination and consultation
Jordan and Qatar affirmed their continued coordination
and consultation on various issues of mutual interest, supporting all initiatives
aimed at consolidating stability, protecting regional security,
and promoting political solutions to crises, away from military escalation.
This stance comes amidst ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region
aimed at solidifying the ceasefire and preventing the spread of tensions,
thereby preserving regional security and serving the interests of the region’s peoples.
