Seoul, South Korea – Reports have revealed a massive strategic alliance between South Korea’s Samsung and the US’s Broadcom, worth up to $200 billion,
in a move aimed at strengthening cooperation in the semiconductor and advanced technology sector,
amid increasing global competition to develop high-performance electronic chips.
Partnership to boost the chip industry
The collaboration between Samsung and Broadcom aims to expand semiconductor production capabilities
and develop advanced chips that meet the growing demand in artificial intelligence,
cloud computing, data centers and smart devices, thereby strengthening
the two companies’ position in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.
Huge investments to keep pace with global demand
It is estimated that the value of the collaboration between Samsung and Broadcom could reach about $200 billion over the years,
through long-term investments that include manufacturing, development and scientific research,
in light of the global race to increase the production capacity of electronic chips
that have become an essential element in various technological industries.
Increasing competition in the technology sector
Analysts believe this alliance reflects the trend of major technology companies
to build strategic partnerships to counter increasing competition in the semiconductor market,
which is growing rapidly due to the expansion of artificial intelligence, smart cars and the Internet of Things,
