This invitation, reported by “RIA Novosti,” comes within the framework of strengthening “Strategic Cooperation” and celebrating the flourishing historical relations between the two nations.
Celebrating 60 Years of Diplomacy
During his meeting with President Putin in Moscow, the King of Malaysia expressed his deep gratitude for the warm reception. The Malaysian newspaper New Straits Times noted that the proposed visit next year holds special symbolic significance, as it marks the 60th anniversary of official diplomatic relations between Kuala Lumpur and Moscow, representing an opportunity to launch a new phase of “Comprehensive Partnership.”

For his part, President Vladimir Putin praised the upward trajectory of bilateral relations, emphasizing that ties between Russia and Malaysia are witnessing remarkable development across various fields. “Our relations are developing very well, and next year we will celebrate a historic milestone in our diplomatic relations characterized by mutual respect,” Putin stated. He also highlighted the close coordination between the two countries at the UN and within the cooperation mechanisms of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), affirming Malaysia as a key strategic partner in the region.

On the economic front, Putin stressed that trade relations are continuously growing despite global challenges, asserting the political will to overcome any fluctuations in trade exchange.
