Madrid, Spain – Italian Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in transfer market news, confirmed that Real Madrid has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Ivorian international Yann Diomande during the current summer transfer window.
Romano stated, via his account on the “X” platform, that Real Madrid has finalized its agreement with Leipzig to complete the deal for more than 100 million euros, bringing the Ivorian winger closer to wearing the royal club’s jersey.
He added that the 19-year-old player will travel to the Spanish capital this week to undergo medical tests before signing a contract that will run until June 2031.
He pointed out that Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, is keen to meet the demands of the Portuguese Jose Mourinho, the team’s new coach, by strengthening the ranks with the most prominent deals during the summer transfer window.
Diomande is under contract with Leipzig until June 2030, having joined the German club from Spanish side Leganes in the summer of 2025 for €20 million.
The Ivorian player played 36 matches for Leipzig in various competitions last season, during which he scored 13 goals, in addition to making 10 other goals.
