A historic achievement

This is the first world title for the Moroccan national team.

It is also the first achievement in the history of Arab participation in various football tournaments organised by FIFA.

This is the first world title for the Moroccan national team.

With this victory, Morocco became the first Arab country to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The second African country after Ghana won the title in 2009.

Morocco also became the ninth team to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in the last nine editions of the tournament.

Top scorer in the tournament

Yasser Zbiri, a player on the Moroccan youth team, scored the first goal from a direct free kick against Argentina in the 12th minute.

ثم أحرز زبيري الهدف الثاني في شباك منتخب الأرجنتين في الدقيقة 29،

Thus, Al-Zubaidi topped the tournament’s top scorers with five goals.

The second goal for the Moroccan national team came after Othman Maama launched a counterattack on the right side.

He then played a cross which Zabiri met with a direct shot with his left foot from close range, putting the ball into the net.

single attack

The Argentine team did not pose a significant threat to the Moroccan team throughout the match.

Their most notable effort came in the final minute of the first half when substitute Matteo Silvetti shot wide.

Iron defense

Morocco’s defence held firm in the second half, thwarting all of Argentina’s attempts to reduce the deficit.

With goalkeeper Ibrahim Gomis shining in stoppage time to save a header from Ian Soubiabri.

Tango’s second loss

This is the second loss for Argentina, which has won a record six titles, in the final of the Youth World Cup.

This came after a 1-0 defeat to Brazil in 1983.
