Tehran, Iran – Iran experienced a second consecutive night without any reported airstrikes or military attacks, a significant development after two weeks of escalating tensions that included attacks targeting military sites and sensitive infrastructure, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.

The absence of strikes in recent hours suggests a temporary de-escalation of military operations, amid regional and international anticipation to see whether this lull will pave the way for diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis, or is merely a tactical pause before a new round of escalation.

The Iranian authorities continue to be on security and military alert, while maintaining surveillance and air defense measures at high levels, in anticipation of any sudden developments, while the competent authorities continue to evaluate the effects of previous strikes that targeted a number of sites during the past days.
On the other hand, the United States and its allies are closely monitoring the developments of the scene, amid continuing political and security contacts with partners in the region, in light of fears that any new attack would expand the circle of confrontation and threaten the security of navigation and energy supplies.
Analysts believe that the current calm does not mean the end of the crisis, but rather reflects a stage of rearranging the military and political calculations of all parties, especially with the continuing regional tensions and the absence of any clear agreement that guarantees a permanent reduction in escalation.
Observers confirm that the coming days will be decisive in determining the direction of the crisis, whether by returning to the diplomatic track or resuming military operations if efforts to contain tension between the parties concerned fail.
