Tehran, Iran – A 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Iran, felt in several nearby cities and towns. Authorities have begun assessing the situation and monitoring for any potential impacts.

Emergency and civil defense teams have been deployed to areas near the epicenter to conduct field surveys and ensure the safety of residents and infrastructure. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.

Iran is among the most seismically active regions in the world, situated on several active geological fault lines, making it prone to earthquakes of varying intensity throughout the year.

Iranian authorities continue to monitor developments and urge citizens to adhere to safety guidelines issued by relevant agencies, while assessments continue in anticipation of aftershocks in the coming hours.
