Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to the Iranian leadership, asserting that the only alternative to the imminent political agreement is a resumption of military operations “at a much higher intensity and level than in the past.”
Between ending “Epic Rage” and destruction
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump laid out a clear roadmap for the next phase.
He explained that if Iran agrees to the terms of the agreement—
which he described as a “big assumption”—Operation Epic Wrath would officially end.
He added that a successful signing would transform the current naval blockade
into an opportunity to open the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping for all, including Iran itself.
However, Trump quickly shifted to threatening language,
emphasizing that rejecting the agreement would unleash
a wave of bombing that would surpass in violence and impact anything seen since the war began.
48crucial hours
Trump’s remarks coincide with international reports confirming
that the two sides have reached a “point of no return” in negotiations.
The Axios website revealed that Washington and Tehran are on the verge of signing
a one-page memorandum of understanding to end the conflict.
This comes as they await a decisive Iranian response on key issues within the next 48 hours.
Although US officials insist that the agreement is not yet finalized,
they unanimously agree that this is the closest moment to peace since the beginning of the confrontation.
Optimism regarding regional mediation
In a related development, informed Pakistani sources corroborated these reports.
A source involved in the mediation efforts told Reuters that the reports
about the potential deal were “very accurate.”
He confirmed, “We are very close to finalizing this matter.”
With the blockade still in place, the world awaits developments in the coming hours.
This comes amid hopes that the diplomatic track will prevail to avoid
the scenario of “heavy bombardment” threatened by the White House.
