Kuwait – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense confirmed that the Minister of Defense does not have any official or personal accounts on social media platforms, denying the validity of what is being circulated on some pages impersonating him or publishing statements attributed to him.
In an official statement, the Ministry stressed that all news, positions, and statements related to the Minister of Defense or the Ministry are issued only through official and approved channels, urging citizens and media outlets to verify information and not be misled by unverified accounts or information circulating from unknown sources.
The Ministry warned against interacting with any accounts claiming to represent the Minister of Defense, emphasizing that they have no affiliation with him whatsoever. It added that the relevant authorities are monitoring these pages to take the necessary legal action against those responsible, in order to maintain credibility and prevent the spread of misleading information.
The Ministry of Defense reiterated its call to rely on official statements issued by the Ministry for accurate information, stressing that confronting rumors and false news is a shared responsibility that requires awareness and verification of information sources before sharing or republishing them.
