  • Security vulnerabilities that are difficult to detect
  • stricter security requirements

Washington, United States – The US has taken new steps to tighten restrictions on the use of humanoid robots and certain imported energy components,

as part of measures aimed at enhancing national security and reducing the risks associated

with reliance on foreign technologies and equipment in critical sectors.

Security vulnerabilities that are difficult to detect

The new measures focus on limiting the use of humanoid robots and sensitive components,

including foreign power transformers, within strategically important institutions and infrastructure,

amid growing concerns about their potential vulnerability to hacking

or use in activities that could threaten cybersecurity or power grids.

US officials believe that relying on foreign equipment and technology

in critical facilities could create security vulnerabilities that are difficult to detect,

prompting authorities to tighten inspection and approval standards for these products before their use within the country.

stricter security requirements

This move is part of a broader policy adopted by Washington to strengthen domestic supply chains

and encourage the manufacturing of technological components within the United States or in allied countries,

with the aim of reducing reliance on foreign suppliers in critical sectors.

Experts anticipate that these measures will impact technology companies

operating in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and energy,

as they may be forced to adjust their supply chains and comply

with stricter security requirements to ensure their continued operation within the US market.

The decision comes at a time of escalating global competition in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics,

with governments increasingly focused on establishing regulatory frameworks

that balance encouraging innovation with protecting national security,

particularly as the use of intelligent robots expands across industry, services, and critical infrastructure.
