Doha, Qatar – Qatari authorities announced the full resumption of maritime navigation as of today, following the lifting of precautionary measures imposed during the past period and the return of normal operations in ports and territorial waters.
The relevant authorities confirmed that the movement of commercial vessels, cargo ships, and all other maritime activities has resumed as usual, while the necessary regulatory procedures continue to be implemented to ensure navigational safety and the security of maritime routes.
The resumption of navigation comes within the framework of efforts aimed at maintaining the flow of trade and supply chains, especially since the region includes a number of the most important sea lanes through which large quantities of global energy and merchandise exports pass.
It is expected that the decision will contribute to enhancing commercial and logistical activity, and reassuring international shipping and navigation companies about the stability of maritime traffic, at a time when the Qatari authorities continue to follow regional developments and take the necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of maritime navigation.
